The Effects Of A Nuclear Bomb

When most folks think of a nuclear bombs, they tend to categorize them into a one size fits all category in their head, utter destruction. To say this isn’t true would not be honest, nuclear bombs create utter destruction. The reality of the matter is that nuclear bombs come in different sizes, all of them destructive, but some to a much greater degree. A small terrorist weapon might have much less destructive power than a multi-megaton Russian or Chinese warhead. This in turn would determine a safe distance from whatever warhead you might face.

In this series we take a look at four different types of nuclear weapons and their effects on the city of Chicago. The weapons range from a small terrorist type bomb all the way up to the largest man made explosion ever detonated, the Tsar Bomba.
