How To Make A PVC Slingshot

Growing up in the time period I did, most of us little boys had baseball cards in our bicycle spokes and a home made slingshot in our back pocket. The sling shots consisted of any Y shaped branch we could find, 2 rubber bands, and another baseball card. They had little to no power behind them, but you could become accurate at knocking over a pop can from about 10 feet away. They most certainly we not considered weapons as we were allowed to play with them during recess at school as long as we used the school shed as a backstop…my how times have changed.

Being the adult kid that I am, there is still something magical about making a slingshot. The one that I make now however have a ton of power and can do some real damage. They can also be used for hunting in a pinch for small game. We stumbled across a good video on how to make a gear slingshot out of PVC. We thought we would share it with you since, after all, PVC seems to be one of a preppers favorite things.
